The Medium: Briefly about the game
The Medium was developed by Bloober Team. The action of the game takes place in the nineties, in an abandoned hotel Niwa. You will spend the majority of the game controlling Marianne, the game's protagonist. However, you will also explore the dark world as other characters.
The game has fixed camera angles. The developers use it to build suspense and make sure that you always see the world the way they intended. However, this does not hinder exploration or search for collectibles.
An important element of The Medium is the mechanic of moving between the two worlds. Sometimes you move to the other dimension suddenly, other times you will explore two areas at the same time. These sections look as if they were played in a split-screen, only instead of two characters we have a normal and "spiritual" version of the location. Both affect each other, so you have to explore them carefully to solve puzzles and discover passages.
