1,2,3... - Main locations on the map
1 – Triss Merigold's home
Geralt plants to meet with Triss at her house as a part of the "Pyres of Novigrad" main quest. You won't find her here and the meeting will take place in a different part of the city.
2 – Seven Cats Inn
You will find a notice board here. Geralt can also trade with the innkeeper.
3 – Arette
You will find a merchant in a building near the cemetery located in the northern part of the village.
4 – Passiflora
This is a brothel where you'll find courtezans. Talk to the owner and then pick one of the three girls. Sex costs 40 crowns and it is rewarded with 4 experience points.
5 – Hierarch Square
You will witness some people being set on fire the first time you visit this location. The square is a place where you can the largest number of merchants and Gwent players out of the entire Novigrad. You can also take a loan and exchange curriences by talking to Vivaldi and visit Tress at her home.
6 – Church of the Eternal Fire
You will find a merchant and a place of power near the church.
7 – Catherine Bootlegger
This is a brothel where you'll find courtezans. Talk to the owner and then pick one of the three girls. Sex costs 20 crowns and it is rewarded with 2 experience points.
8 – Novigrad Docks
You will have a chance to complete several quests here. Watch out for thugs - they hide in side alleys and will attack Geralt if he's not careful.
9 – Assault
If you see, that some Thugs are assaulting a merchant - rescue him. Otherwise he won't offer you any trade in his shop later.
10 – Simulated assault
Women is "attacked" by a man, but you shouldn't interefere - but in dialogue you can choose option to use Axii sign - you'll gain 40 experience points, and noone will be harmed.

The passages are explored as a part of the "Scavenger: Cat School Gear" quest. There are four out of seven Cat school gear schematics here.
13 – Building
You can use a ladder to enter one of the buildings. This will allow you to collect an upgraded schematic of a silver sword from the Witcher's Cat school gear.
14 – Ambushed citizen
One of citizien has been abushed - you can help him by killing bad guys.
15 – Mage
After "Now or Never" quest you'll find here trapped mage you heard about from Triss. He didn't want to escape from the city with others.
16 – Ronvid (2)
Do you remember Rnovid? You could meet him on crossroads by Crow's Perch (M3,3), where he would challenge Geralt in fight. You can meet him here again, but this time his better prepared - still, you won't kill him after beating.
17 – Ronvid (3)
For the last time you'll meet Ronvid (M6,16) in this area. You can kill him this time in duel. He'll be with mercenaries.
Important NPC characters on the map
Alchemist (1) – This man is selling glyphs and various alchemy ingredients. You can also play Gwent with him and sell him trophies from Witcher contracts for the best possible price.
Barber – You will find barbers in different parts of the city and you can ask them to change how your hair looks.
Merchant (1) – This person is selling glyphs, alchemy ingredients, saddlebags and a potion of clearance (skill reset) among other things. You can also play cards (Gwent) with this person.
Merchant (2) – He's selling a torn-out page and various books among other things.
Merchant (3) – He's selling crafting materials and alcohol among other things. You can also play cards with him (Gwent).
Merchant (4) – He specializes in selling empty bottles.
Merchant (5) – He's selling only fish. You can also play cards with him (Gwent).
Merchant (6) – He sells only few not special ingredients but you can play Gwent with him.
Priest of the Eternal Fire – He's selling manuscript pages, torn-out pages and alchemy ingredients. You can also play cards (Gwent) with him.
Blacksmith (1) – He is a craftsman (he can create new objects, repair them etc.). He's also a card player (Gwent) and he's selling repair kits, diagrams, crafting materials and melee weapons.
Blacksmith (2) – He is a craftsman (he can create new objects, repair them etc.). He's also a card player (Gwent) and he's selling repair kits, diagrams, crafting materials and melee weapons.
Marcus – He's selling various books and he's also a card player (Gwent).
Olivier – This person is selling primarily Gwent cards and alcohol.
Armorer – He is a craftsman (he can create new objects, repair them etc.) and he's also selling glyphs, diagrams, a treasure map, repair kits, crafting materials and armor elements.
Serenity – She's the owner of the brothel. You can talk to her about hiring a courtesan and you can also trade with her - she's selling Gwent cards and food.
Vimme Vivaldi; Banker – Vimme Vivaldi is a Gwent player and he can give the main character a loan (100 crowns). He's also in the business of exchanging currencies (exchanging florens and orens to crowns).
The merchant is selling crafting materials and fish.
Innkeep (1) – This person is selling game cards, alchemy ingredients and food. You can also play Gwent with this person.
