Regular brushing of the main character's horse is an important activity in Red Dead Redemption 2. A dirty horse receives penalties to health bar regeneration. On this page we will tell you how to clean your horse in RDR2 and how to take acquire a brush that can be used to clean your horse.
There are three ways you can clean your horse. The first one is the least effective, but also the simplest available, requiring you to simply walk your horse into a body of water (for example one of the rivers).
The second way is to use a grooming brush, except you won't find it in the character's starting equipment. Fortunately, it is very easy to get it, because you just need to complete the mission Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego in the second chapter of the main storyline. As part of this mission, you visit the stables in the town of Valentine in order to buy a new horse. After completing the transaction, you will receive the brush as a gift. From now on you can choose the Horse tab and the Grooming Brush from the drop-down menu.
The third way is to pay someone to take care of your horse in the stables. The cleaning service is performed in conjunction with the renewal and boosting of health and stamina bars of the horse.
