Unlocking the quest - talking to the Collector
This quest becomes available after completing the Grotesque Fish Pursuit. You'll find its full walkthrough here.
Head to Blackstone Isle and talk to the Collector. The dialogue should start automatically after completing the Grotesque Fish quest.
The Collector will tell you about Relics, suggesting you should find five of them. The quest begins once you accept his proposal.
Acquiring The Ornate Key
First, talk to the Lighthouse Keeper. You'll find her in the city of Greater Marrow.
Ask her about the shipwrecks in the nearby area. She'll mention a shipwreck near Greater Marrow. The place will be automatically marked on your map.
Sail to the indicated location. You can use the map we've pictured above. Remember, the in-game map marks the spot with a red X.
You must dredge in the place red dots are hovering over.
If you're having doubts on whether you're at the right fishing spot, check the shape of the found item - it should look like a key, like the one pictured above.
After getting the key and putting it in your cargo hold, head to Blackstone Isle in the southern part of The Marrows. That's the same place where you've started the quest.
Talk to the Collector and give him the key. You'll be rewarded with Haste, a very useful skill that can temporarily increase your ship's speed.
Acquiring the Rusted Music Box
To get the Rusted Music Box, you must first learn how to blow up Debris, obstacles blocking your way. This requires completing another main quest first. You'll find its walkthrough on the Hermitage page, while you'll learn how to remove obstacles in the How to remove Debris? section.
The Rusted Music Box is located in the Gale Cliffs, right next to the Ruins dock.
You must blow up some Debris to unlock the dredging spot. It's located near the shipwreck, with red dots hovering above it.
Complete the dredging minigame to claim the relic.
Return to the Collector on Blackstone Isle and give him the Rusted Music Box. You'll be rewarded with a new skill, Manifest. From now on, you can instantly return to Blackstone Isle from anywhere on the map.
You'll learn more about Manifest on the Is there fast travel? page.
Acquiring the Jewel Encrusted Band
You need some specific equipment to claim this relic. You'll learn how to get it on the page How to get the Hadal fishing rod? Unlocking it is also tied to your progress in one of the main quests. You'll find its walkthrough on the Research Assistant page.
After acquiring the Hadal rod and immobilizing the monster of Stellar Basin, you can dredge out the relic. Head to the center of the region.
Complete the mini-game to claim the Jewel Encrusted Band. Move it to your cargo hold.
Now, return to Blackstone Isle. You can use Manifest to get there quicker. Talk to the Collector and give him the relic. You'll be rewarded with a new skill, Banish. It lets you temporarily repel monsters chasing you.
Acquiring the Shimmering Necklace
The Shimmering Necklace is in the possession of the Airman, found in the Camp dock in the Twisted Strand region. You don't need to dredge it out - you'll get it as a reward for completing the quest The Bitter End.
You'll find the full walkthrough of this Pursuit on The Bitter End page.
After completing the quest and placing the Shimmering Necklace in your cargo hold, return to Blackstone Isle. Just like before, Manifest will get you there quickly and safely.
Talk to the Collector, who'll take the relic and reward you with a new skill. Atrophy lets you immediately fish from nearby fishing spots while granting a very high chance of catching an Aberration.
Acquiring the Antique Pocket Watch
You'll find the Antique Pocket Watch during the Flames of the Deep main quest. The relic is in the Ancient Temple dock. The Fanatic dwelling there will offer you a Pursuit.
You'll find the full walkthrough on the Flames of the Deep page.
After completing the quest, choose the Inspect the Pyre option to find the Antique Pocket Watch.
Return to Blackstone Isle and give it to the Collector. This completes the quest. There's no reward waiting for you this time.
Don't hand over the final relic to the Collector unless you're fine with getting the bad ending. We've listed all the available endings on the All endings page.
