On this page of the God of War Ragnarok guide, you will learn how to destroy the red connections that first appear in Alfheim. We explain how to prevent connections from regenerating and how to use Leviathan correctly.
Red connections - what do they look like?
You will start encountering red connections in Alfheim. Destroying them is required to unlock new passages, such as to reveal new interactive ledges or a new corridor. This will happen when all connections from a given cluster are stopped.
Basic and advanced ways to stop connections
You have to use Leviathan to interrupt connections. Throw the axe to destroy them. The main complication is that you have to destroy all connections in a single throw. This is because single connections can restore themselves if you have not destroyed all of them in one go.
In most cases, simply stand in the right place so you can see all the connections in front of you and that the flying axe can hit them one by one. If you do not see the perfect spot right away then go around the structure or try to reach a higher/lower platform.
In some locations, puzzles with red connections are more difficult. For example, you may also have to bounce the axe off of the Twilight Stone.
An example is shown in the picture above - you have to make sure that Leviathan hits the stone and flies in the right direction. The axe's correct flight path is symbolized by the blue lines - it means you will always hit all the red connections.
We have discussed specific red connection puzzles in the Walkthrough and Secrets and collectibles sections.
