Arneson's Mansion is one of the locations of Chapter 5 of Sherlock Holmes The Awakened Remake. Our walkthrough will show you how to unlock all scenes in Imagination Mode, how to open the door with the horse symbol, and how to open the door with the bell symbol. Unlocking all scenes in Imagination Mode
Activate Concentration Mode and examine the traces on the carpet. Go forward a little and examine the door on the right side of the corridor.
Opposite the door you will find more footprints and a letter on the table.
Go straight, past the stairs and turn left into the kitchen. Check the painting on the wall and approach the table. At the table examine:
- cup,
- dirty towel,
- traces on the chair (Concentration Mode).
Examine the body of a woman for:
- wound on the chest,
- right hand,
- cleaver.
Leave the kitchen and go to the living room. Examine the painting on the wall and the traces of blood at the table.
On a dead man examine:
- face,
- right hand,
- wound on the chest,
- right leg.
Approach the fireplace and examine:
- remnants of a burned card,
- piece of a letter.
Pick up the candlestick lying by the table and examine the blood traces on it.
Approach the traces near the door with horse symbol and check:
- footprints,
- candlestick,
- traces of wax.
Activate Concentration mode and examine the traces on the wall. Thats all for the ground floor, time to search the upper floors.
On the second floor, go through the door with the sword symbol. Check the desk for:
- photograph (examine both sides),
- an open book (rotate it and read the title),
- newspaper,
- letter in an open drawer.
Now look at the painting on the wall by the desk and investigate the weapon held by the man on the left.
If you've collected all required evidence, all scenes in the Imagination Mode will be unlocked.
How to correctly set scenes in Imagination Mode?
At the garden door, set the scene with the person holding the sword.
At the kitchen table, set the scene with the gardener and maid drinking tea.
In the kitchen, set the scene with a person reaching for a cleaver.
At the stairs, set the scene with a person being dragged by an other person.
At the door with the horse symbol set the scene with a short person dropping a candlestick.
At the fireplace in the living room set the scene with a person holding a sword and a candlestick.
At the dead man in the living room, set the scene with a person holding a sword.
Once all scenes are set, watch the reconstruction and enter the Mind Palace. When asked What happened to Davy? choose:
- Door With a Horse Symbol,
- Mansion Crime Scene,
- The Horrors Of The Arneson Mansion.
How to open the door with the horse symbol?
Solving the first Mind Palace question will reveal that a boy named Davy had hidden behind the door with the horse symbol. The terrified boy won't open the door for you.
You have to leave the mansion and return to the stables. Davy's sister is found there. As you put the woman on the ground, examine:
- neck,
- letter.
After a short cut-scene, you'll find yourself in the room with the boy. During observation, examine:
- face,
- neck,
- shirt buttons,
- left wrist,
- right trouser pocket.
How to open the door with the bell symbol?
After interacting with the boy, you'll receive a clue regarding opening the door to Ashmat's room. Go up to the second floor. Go to the room with the door that has two keys symbol drawn on it.
On the table examine:
- book (read the title),
- letter.
Activate Concentration Mode and examine the drawer and the flower on the table by the bed. Now approach Arneson's portrait and check:
- The signet ring on his finger,
- button on the picture frame.
Move the panting and open the safe with the code 1862. Take the letter and keys out of the safe.
Go back to the first floor and open the door with the bell symbol. Pick up a piece of paper from the table.
On the wall examine:
- bottom left image,
- top image on the right.
In Concentration Mode, examine the clothes on the bed and the scratches on the floor. Now move the bed. Examine the hole under the bed, take the notebook and the stone. You have to examine the items and search them for clues.
How to open the lock in the painting?
Go back to Arneson's office on the first floor. This is the room to which the door with the sword symbol leads. Pin the Letter From Locksmith evidence and in Concentration Mode, examine the eye on the painting with the animals.
Enter the Mind Palace and choose following answers for How can the Painting Lock Be Opened? question:
- Letter From Locksmith,
- Secret Lock,
- Portrait of Mr. Arneson.
How to find Arneson's sigil?
Open the Casebook and mark the Animal Near Severed Fingers evidence. You have to search the archives to find another clue.
In the archive, select:
- mammals
- carnivore,
- 10-50 pounds
Hold down the button to update the clue.
Enter the Mind Palace and at the question Where is the ring? select the following:
- Animal Near Severed Fingers,
- Chapter 13: Raccoons.
Go to the garden and pin the Raccoon Has the Ring clue. Approach the area near the lake where you've found the severed fingers. Activate Concentration Mode and look for paw prints.
Follow the traces of the raccoon. Along the way, examine the red marks on the grass. You'll reach a tree - examine the hole. Pick up the leaves - the signet is underneath them.
With the signet, return to Arneson's office and open the lock in the painting.
Check the desk for:
- photograph,
- crumpled piece of paper,
- letter in an envelope.
With the new evidence, you can now proceed to Mind Palace. When asked Where is Arneson currently? choose:
- Love Letter From Arneson,
- Letter From Northwood Agency.
Examine the weapons on the dresser and approach the shelf. On the shelf examine:
- notebook,
- ring,
- a bottle of champagne.
Time for the final Mind Palace question. When asked How to learn content of the burnt message? choose:
- Photo of Arneson With a Boy,
- Letter form Lakofka,
- Arneson's Notes On Bank and Ashmat.
Return to Davy and talk to him. Once the boy reveals the contents of the burned letter, the Arneson's Mansion investigation is over.
Returning to the port of New Orleans
Leave Arneson's Mansion and take a cab to the port. Talk to Lucy. During the conversation, choose the following evidence:
- Love Letter From Arneson,
- Photo Of Arneson With Lucy,
- Engagement Ring.
Travel to Fisherman's Quarter and talk to Champagne. Delivering the bottle found in Arneson's secret room will conclude Chapter 5.
