Diablo 4: Difficulty levels, World Tiers Diablo 4 guide

Completing the games from the Diablo series on increasingly higher difficulty levels is a standard practice. On this page of the guide, you will find a list of all difficulty levels available in Diablo 4 along with their descriptions.
Adventurer - World Tier 1
At this difficulty level, the opponents are not a challenge, allowing you to focus on the story and exploration. The tier is available from the beginning of the game.
Veteran - World Tier 2
- The tier is available from the beginning of the game.
- Enemies are stronger, which forces you to pay attention to the quality of your equipment and investing in the right attribute points in order to optimize your damage and defense.
- Defeating enemies gets you 20% more experience points.
- Defeated enemies drop 15% more gold.
Nightmare - World Tier 3
- You can unlock the tier only after completing the campaign, as well as the final dungeon called Cathedral of Light on the Veteran difficulty.
- The tier is suitable for characters at levels 50-70.
- Enemies are much more powerful and deal increased damage.
- Opponents ignore 20% of your character's resistances.
- In the game world, you will be able to encounter Champions - enemies with a significantly increased resistance to damage.
- The experience bonus for defeated enemies is 100%.
- Defeated enemies drop 15% more gold.
- You will be able to find Sacred and Unique items.
- You can come across Nightmare Silgils, thanks to which you will discover the Nightmare Dungeons. These are special areas with a very high difficulty level.
- Helltides will appear in the game world. During these special events, you'll encounter strengthened enemies that drop valuable loot. This will also be an opportunity to get a special currency called Cinders, which can be used to open special chests.
Torment - World Tier 4
- To unlock the Torment Tier, you must complete the final dungeon called Fallen Temple on the Nightmare difficulty.
- The recommended character level is 70 and above.
- Enemies are more ferocious, more numerous, stronger, and more resilient.
- Opponents ignore 40% of your hero's resistances.
- The bonus experience for killing an enemy is 200%.
- Enemies drop 15% more gold when killed.
- You will be able to find new Unique and Ancestral items in the game world.
