Diablo 4: Difficulty levels, World Tiers Diablo 4 guide

In Diablo 4, there are a total of 4 difficulty levels called World Tier. When starting the adventure, you can choose one of the initial two, while the rest must be unlocked. From this guide page you will learn how to do it and what the different levels are.

Completing the games from the Diablo series on increasingly higher difficulty levels is a standard practice. On this page of the guide, you will find a list of all difficulty levels available in Diablo 4 along with their descriptions.

• Adventurer - World Tier 1
• Veteran - World Tier 2
• Nightmare - World Tier 3
• Torment - World Tier 4

Adventurer - World Tier 1

At this difficulty level, the opponents are not a challenge, allowing you to focus on the story and exploration. The tier is available from the beginning of the game.

Veteran - World Tier 2

1. The tier is available from the beginning of the game.
2. Enemies are stronger, which forces you to pay attention to the quality of your equipment and investing in the right attribute points in order to optimize your damage and defense.
3. Defeating enemies gets you 20% more experience points.
4. Defeated enemies drop 15% more gold.

Nightmare - World Tier 3

1. You can unlock the tier only after completing the campaign, as well as the final dungeon called Cathedral of Light on the Veteran difficulty.
2. The tier is suitable for characters at levels 50-70.
3. Enemies are much more powerful and deal increased damage.
4. Opponents ignore 20% of your character's resistances.
5. In the game world, you will be able to encounter Champions - enemies with a significantly increased resistance to damage.
6. The experience bonus for defeated enemies is 100%.
7. Defeated enemies drop 15% more gold.
8. You will be able to find Sacred and Unique items.
9. You can come across Nightmare Silgils, thanks to which you will discover the Nightmare Dungeons. These are special areas with a very high difficulty level.
10. Helltides will appear in the game world. During these special events, you'll encounter strengthened enemies that drop valuable loot. This will also be an opportunity to get a special currency called Cinders, which can be used to open special chests.

Torment - World Tier 4

1. To unlock the Torment Tier, you must complete the final dungeon called Fallen Temple on the Nightmare difficulty.
2. The recommended character level is 70 and above.
3. Enemies are more ferocious, more numerous, stronger, and more resilient.
4. Opponents ignore 40% of your hero's resistances.
5. The bonus experience for killing an enemy is 200%.
6. Enemies drop 15% more gold when killed.
7. You will be able to find new Unique and Ancestral items in the game world.
