Mud, sand and thick tires, this is off-road. You can drive a jeep, quad or a motorcycle (depending on the race) and compete with other drivers on the out-city roads.

Of course, your main task is to get to the finish as a first one. The best character for races is, of course, Franklin due to his Special and better driving skill.
