Assassins Creed Valhalla: How to and why increase harisma? Assassin's Creed Valhalla guide, walkthrough
Last update: Friday, December 2, 2022
This page of the Assassin's Creed Valhalla guide answers the question of how to increase Eivor's charisma, one of the statistics that describe the main character. You will also learn how to complete persuasion attempts and what potential profits can result from it.
Charisma works in AC Valhalla on a similar basis to many other RPGs - a higher level of charisma can help with persuasion or intimidation attempts. This can unlock alternative solutions for quests, events or simply individual meetings.
Charisma is increased by winning Flyting , a rhyme duel that is one of the mini-games. Each time Eivor's task is to choose the answers that rhyme best with the other person's statements. The Flyting starts in places marked with the icons of theatrical masks and we included them all in the chapter about secrets. You can find new Flyting "candidates" mainly in villages, towns and large camps.
Each won Flyting increases Eivor's charisma by 1. If you lose a Flyting, you can pay to play it again and try to choose other answers.
Charisma related dialog options may appear in some conversations with NPCs. Next to the mask icon you can read about the value of the charisma required to use the dialog option.
A higher level of charisma may be required to complete certain events or to unlock alternative behavioral variants in quest discussions. In the latter case, you may be faced with the choice of how to achieve the intended goal of the conversation - in the example from the picture it can be a fight, a bribe (silver), or just a dialogue option concerning charisma.
We recommend developing charisma at least up to 2-3 points early in the game. This will allow you to have a full range of behavioral options for most meetings with NPCs.
