Gear map - important information

Maps that allow you to collect the full sets of the witcher schools can be bought from different merchants and they always come with the same price. You can use this guide to collect the gear without using these maps.

These maps, however, usually cost more or less 50 crowns, which is not that much, especially for the precision they are offering. The chest with the schematics lie in different places such as caves, ruins or monsters' lairs from another quests. Rarely will you have to solve a minor puzzle. The quest for finding the schematics are not additionally rewarded.

Hattori - Novigrad

Hattori is the master of swords. He lives to the South from Novigrad's main square, on a nearby island. You can trade with him after you finish the Swords and Dumplings quest - it's a side quest in Novigrad. He can provide you with the following maps:

Armorer - Kaer Trolde

Armorer of Kaer Trolde is available after completing the first quest on the Skellige islands. He can provide you with following maps

On Novigrad square you can find an armorer. He can be found in its northern-west side, above the Vimme Vivaldi's bank. He can provide you with the following maps:

Blacksmith - Blackbough

In Blackbough, a village located to the West of Crow's Perch you can find another blacksmith. He can provide you with the following maps

Merchant - Blackbough

In Blackbough, a village located to the west of Crow's Perch you can find a merchant, selling his goods near to the quick travel marker. He can provide you with the following maps

Blacksmith - Midcopse

There's just one blacksmith in Midcopse. The village is located in the western part of Velen. Blacksmith can be found by the house of Keira Metz. He can provide you with the following maps

Blacksmith - Lindenvale

Lindenvale is located in the north-western area of Crookback Bog. There is a blacksmith with the following maps:
