On this page of our Hogwarts Legacy guide, we discuss available difficulty levels, the differences between them, and answer the question whether you can change the difficulty level at any time during the game.
Story
Story is the easiest difficulty level available in Hogwarts Legacy. It is designed for players who want to focus on the story rather than engage in various challenges the game offers, such as combat. Consider choosing this difficulty if this is your first brush against action RPGs.
Easy
Easy is a bit more demanding than the aforementioned Story difficulty level, as it introduces some difficulty to battles (enemies are tougher) and various interactions happening during the game but nevertheless maintains a casual style in which experiencing the story is the main dish.
Normal
Normal is the most balanced of all the difficulty levels in Hogwarts Legacy . Clashes against larger enemy groups may prove to be challenging, as they will use a larger array of spells and often use shields. This is a good choice for people who expect a certain challenge from the gameplay.
Hard
This difficulty level will be a challenge even for players who are well-versed in the mechanics of Hogwarts Legacy. If you've chosen this difficulty level, be ready for anything - combat means constant dodging, parrying, and juggling spells to create deadly combinations.
Changing the difficulty level
Fortunately, Hogwarts Legacy offers an option to change the difficulty at any time - if you feel that the gameplay is too easy or too dififcult, you can adjust it in the options.
