Enter and Pursued by a Memory is the second mission of Red Dead Redemption 2's main plot. In this mission, we have to find the missing John Marston. Our breakthrough includes complete information on where to find John and how to escape safely from the wolves that threaten the heroes.
How to trigger the mission: Automatically after the Bandits from the West mission.
Walkthrough: Set off with Javier to perform a search. The route is pre-determined and you can optionally chat with your companion along the way.
After reaching the place from which John's calls were heard, dismount the horse and interact with the saddle bag. As the game suggests, you can exchange the revolver for a Sawed-Off Shotgun. This weapon is more useful for this mission. Proceed further on foot. On the way, you should crouch and climb the higher rock shelves. Reach with Javier to the place where the wounded John is.
On the way back, the characters will be attacked for the first time by wolves. Leave Javier, who is carrying the wounded John. Press the call button so that the wolves' attention should focus on the hero. The sawed-off shotgun is perfect for killing wolves, but do your best not to miss or be bitten while reloading the gun.
Mount the horse. As you travel further, you will be attacked by more wolves. A certain facilitation is that the sight "sticks" to the nearest wolf. This should enable you to kill them without stopping or slowing down your horse. After returning to the camp in the mountains, the mission will end.
How to get the gold medal for Entrance and Pursued by Memory?
- Kill all wolves without taking damage - do not miss and kill the wolves before they close in.
- Complete at least 80% accuracy - In your first fight, use the fact that the sawed-off shotgun is very powerful and the wolf will die even if the aim wasn't exactly right. While escaping on horseback, shoot when the crosshair "sticks" to the nearest wolf.
