First visit to the Abandoned Village
The Abandoned Village is one of the regions in Vanaheim - it is in the northeastern part of the main area of this world.
You will visit the village for the first time in The Reckoning main quest. Unfortunately, you can't complete it right away, because some secrets will be in locations that are not yet accessible.
Returning to the village later in the game
It is recommended to return to the Abandoned Village only after completing the game. The possibility of discovering unknown Mystic Gateways (fast travel points) on the world map will then be unlocked. You can discover a Mystic Gateway in the village and immediately use it to teleport to this location (as shown in the picture).
Alternatively, you can reach the village from the south, from Eastern Barri Woods. While in the woods, go north and use the crane shown in the picture (you can rotate it by hitting its shields).
Obtaining all secrets in the Abandoned Village
You could not immediately search the entire Abandoned Village due to the lack of a spear - the hero's third weapon. At that time, there was nothing you could do upon encountering rifts with air escaping out of them.
After acquiring the Draupnir Spear in the main storyline, you can throw it into holes and create rods - this will allow Kratos to grab onto them and reach distant ledges.
Obtaining the spear (Kratos' third main weapon) is explained on the How to unlock a spear page.
