In Dredge, you can catch different fish species, and obtaining Conger Eel is required to complete the Pursuit. The description in our guide explains where the Conger Eel fisheries are and how to prepare for fishing properly (selecting the rod and the time of day).
Examplary Conger Eel fisheries
You can first encounter the Conger Eel fish in the Gale Cliffs region as you progress through the game - this is the southeastern part of the world map. Go fishing at night, because only then do Conger Eels appear. You must have a Shallow rod.
You can recognize the correct fishing spot by an eel icon - it resembles a snake, as shown in the picture.
The first exemplary fishery is in the south-east part of Gale Cliffs , near the falls. You can get here from the north side or (easier) by using explosives to destroy the blockade.
A second exemplary fishery is in the southern part of Gale Cliffs. You can reach it even easier because you don't have to sail between rocks.
In both cases, watch out for the underwater monster from Gale Cliffs and get away from it (it's best to use Haste's ability) so that it doesn't damage the ship and the cargo after the collision.
You can catch several Conger Eels in each of the mentioned fisheries.
Best Before Pursuit
Catching at least 1 Conger Eel is related to a Pursuit called Best Before. You will get it from Ingfell Resident in the Ingfell location of the Gale Cliffs region.
A complete walkthrough of the Best Before Pursuit can be found on a separate page of our guide. Catching the Conger Eel is only one part of this quest.
