Here you will find the answer to the most pressing question of all: can players make purchases in Hogwarts Legacy? We explain whether there are microtransactions in the game and what additional content and cosmetic items you will be able to purchase after the game's release.
Nobody likes paying extra for a full-fledged single-player game. Fortunately, there are no microtransactions in Hogwarts Legacy, the developers do not plan to introduce paid content in the future. However, there are a few items included in the special editions of the game. Check out the Game editions page for an overview of the contents of each version.
Upon purchasing Hogwarts Legacy in standard edition, after the release of the game, anyone will be able to purchase the Dark Arts Pack included in the Deluxe and Collector's Editions.
Here's the full list of additional digital content:
- Thestral Mount,
- Dark Arts Cosmetic Set,
- Dark Arts Battle Arena.
Exclusive content available only on PS5 and PS4 includes Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest. An additional quest featuring shopkeeper Mason will take players on an adventure to a haunted shop with dangerous dungeons. Upon completing the quest, players will unlock their own shop in Hogsmeade, where they can sell items for the best prices in the game.
Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest is included in all editions of Hogwarts Legacy on PlayStation. Gamers using other platforms can buy this extra content.
