How to use the guide?

Our walkthrough of the base campaign of The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt has been divided into large chapters and a number of sub-chapters:

  1. Large chapters deal with the main lands and the main acts of the base game campaign. These are White Orchard , Velen and Novigrad , Skellige , Kaer Morhen, and the events of the campaign finale and epilogue .
  2. Sub-chapters may be included in some of the major chapters. They mainly concern smaller areas that are part of the main lands. For example, the guide includes the Crow's Perch subsection, which is part of a large chapter / land of Velen .

Most of the chapters of our walkthrough have a very similar structure. Here is its general shape:

  1. High-quality maps of a given region of the game world. On separate maps, for example, important locations, Places of Power, enemy experience levels or places related to completing quests can be marked.
  2. Walkthroughs for main quests . In most cases, each main quest has a separate page in the table of contents.
  3. Walkthroughs for side quests . Apart from a few exceptions, side missions from a given location are grouped on the same page.
  4. Walkthroughs of witcher contracts and treasure hunts . As in the case of side quests, we have divided their walkthroughs into locations.

An important feature of our guide is that each walkthrough includes special references to maps . This mechanism should be simple to understand. Here are two examples:

  1. (M2,3) tells you that we have to use the M2 map. Find the M2 map in the table of contents (sub-chapter Inn at the Crossroads) and after opening it, look for point number 3 . There is an additional description of this point under the map.
  2. (M15,10) tells you that you need to use the M15 map. Find the map M15 in the table of contents (sub-chapter Spikeroog) and after opening it, look for point number 10 . There is an additional description of this point under the map.

The color markings used in the guide should also help you find important information in the walkthrough and in the atlas. Thanks to them, we can quickly locate, for example, a description of a meeting with an NPC or the moment of obtaining a valuable loot. Here are the markings we use:

  1. Brown - NPCs and monsters
  2. Blue - Locations
  3. Green - Places where you can find or receive new items
  4. Bold font - Places where there is a name of a quest (quest)
